and TauntonI am a Integrative Counsellor with Person Centred Theory (PCT)) at the core of my work. Alongside PCT I also work with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET). I am conversant with Transactional Analysis (TA), Gestalt, Inner Child Work and I have different techniques of relaxation exercises, including visualisation and Breathing Techniques to help work with high anxiety levels.
I will always discuss with you the best Therapy that you feel will work well for you.
I have worked with a range of Addictions and Substance Misuse at Turning Point, Yeovil and also The Dorset Listening Service. I have a BA(Hons) in Integrative Counselling and a Post Graduate Degree in Counselling Supervision. I am continually updating my personal development to ensure I am fully aware of any changes in current protocols. This ensures that I have the best knowledge available allowing me to work safely and professionally with any client at any time.
A very important part of a client feeling safe and comfortable is where the Therapeutic Relationship is held.
So I can devote time and energy in a calm and very private environment, I will discuss with you where you would prefer to meet as it is important that there are no distractions.
I have safe and confidential consulting rooms at
www.ninespringsclinic.org/ in Yeovil and Taunton.
I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) which means that I adhere to their Ethical Framework for Good Practice. For more information, please visit: http://www.bacp.co.uk
My working hours are from 9.00am - 8.00pm Monday - Friday and Saturday mornings.
Please feel free to ask for alternative hours.
I am aware working hours for some make it impossible to meet during the day so evening sessions are always available if required.
